Instagram filters as Photoshop Actions
Recreate the look of popular iPhone photography app, Instagram, quickly, easily and freely with this set of Actions for Photoshop.
Instagram, along with Hipstamatic, is one of the most popular photography apps available for the iPhone, with its vintage look and style fitting in neatly with the current resurgence for all things retro.
Obviously however, the iPhone cameras has its limits, so when you want to apply a similarly cool filter to your beloved DSLR photos, what better way than with a set of ready-created Instagram filters converted into Actions (a set of processing steps that are instantly performed on your images) by the creative mind of American artist, Daniel Box.
Starting off with the Nashville filter, he’s since added the Brannan, X Pro II, Sutro, Lomo-fi, Inkwell, Lord Kelvin and Walden filters – along with 5 borders that can be included on the photos. Daniel says on his blog that the Actions aren’t an exact copy of the filters, but are a pretty good match – we’d agree.
Why not give it a go today – the free download is available from Daniel’s website.
