LOOKING
I have recently moved from CS3 to CS5 and I would like to give my CS3 to my son-in-law. He is an artist whose family time has reduced his painting time, but I think he would enjoy playing in CS3.

Is there a good book/magazine that would help him learn Photoshop and move him quickly into the drawing and artistic tools?

thanks

I also struggled getting issues 1,2, and 3 after buying the superb 4th issue.
Here I think is the bottom line: My favourite magazines - future publishing have sold out of the 1st 3 issues due to their popularity. However, you can down load them to your lap top, PC or Ipad a www.http://gb.zinio.com/ -which is Zinio Digital magazines. Beware though the Digital versions don't come with all the excellent DVD content - only some of the resource images so that you can try out the techniques described. How ever it's not a great problem as some if not all the tutorials are available on the PP Website. Maybe we could petition Ben to very kindly indeed check and post up any content not already there. If you want the hard copies though I think the only option is Ebay. I got mine from the States for between $10 and $20 including international postage. Hope this helps.

I had this problem too. You'll find that issues 1, 2 and 3 have sold out at "my favourite magazines, so go to Zinio Digital Magazines and down load them on to your lap top for something around the normal cover price. This, however provides you with some of the images to work on, but not all the wonderful lessons on the cover DVD. However I note you can get the contents of most of the DVD lessons under "Tutorials" on the Practical Photoshop Website for free. Alternatively look on ebay -some seller have them in the States for around 20 dollars including P&P. Hope this all helps -Adrian U
